He is Everywhere and He is Nowhere (Poem)

He is everywhere,

in my dreams,

his laughter and his voice a temporary gift,

his presence a blanket of warmth for my broken heart,

yet he is nowhere.

He is everywhere,

in my heart,

our memories and precious moments burning bright in my mind,

his remembrance a soft handkerchief for my teary eyes,

yet he is nowhere.

He is everywhere,

in my home,

his figure resting in the living room,

his coffee stained mug soaking in the sink,

yet he is nowhere.

He is everywhere,

And yet he is nowhere.

How can that be?
